Tower Fraud

There are many persons who were duped by agents/ fraudsters by taking money in name of installation of Mobile Towers. So Beware of such persons. The complaints posted by some of these persons is as under:-

1. Story how Joseph get cheated:

I came across a advt in Vijaya karnataka Newspaper on 02 February 2013 in which it was sritten " Call 07838804523 for Aircel/MTS company mobile tower installation on  residential site monthly rent is 45,000 and get advance 30 lacs and job for one person with salary 15000".

When I contacted the advertiser they told me to deposit 6,200/- towards Areal and sattilite survey for our site eligibility. They gave me an A/c no. SBI A/C.NO. 32044006628, PANKAJ BATRA, BRANCH-ALLIGARH. I deposited the amount on 05/02/2013 at SBI Tumkur(branch)Karnataka. After this they told me to send the E-mail at onida@engineer.com. After three days I got an Aggrement papers in DTDC courier at my address in which it was communicated that my place has been selected by the company and they asked to pay Rs. 31,000/- installation of Aircel tower can be started and you will get a cheque of 10 lacs with in 2 days.

In the hope of getting rs. 10 lacs I deposited Rs. 31,000/- in SBI a/c. Mr panjak batra a/c.no. 32044006628 on 08/2/2013 in Tumkur branch. 

On 11.02.13 I received another email saying that another 24,500/- has to be paid for stamp duty charges by 12.02.13 and if it is not paid within 24 hours the agreement will be cancelled and the amount already paid will not be refunded back.

Till 12/3/2013 the cellno. 07838804523/ 08744877083 were working and Company web site www.onlinespectrum.co.in registered and they gave reg.no.KA464/3GN/T65213 with  Corporate office address- ONIDA INFRASTRUCTURE PVT LIMITED, UNIT OF ALL OVER INDIA FIXATION IN TELECOM SECTOR, A MINISTRY OF TELECOMMUNICATION OF GOVT OF INDIA APPROVED COMPANY, AN ISO 14001:2004 CERTIFIED COMPANY PLOT NO. 98/1 KANCHAR MARG QUTUB ENCLAVE  DLF PHASE 1ST GURGAON -122001. STATE HARYANA.COMPANY EXECUTIVE PHNO. 91 8744877083.

After that the mobiles were switched off. The company site became unaccessible and the persons fled away. Thus I feel duped and fell to the mobile tower fruadsters.

I request all to be careful for any such proposals.


2. Story how Ajay was cheated

Few Month ago i receive one call of Mr P.P. Rathi from Delhi.He told that he is an agent of Tower installation company. He told me our Engineer will servey your area free of cost and then decide which company tower select in your area. After 3 days of the survey he called me and told me that my house is selected Idea 3G tower and company will give 95000/-Rs. monthly rent and 90 Lakh Deposit of 20 years agreement alongwith one Mobile SIM free taking for free outgoing call life time all over india.He also told that one person of family will also be provided Job.

For paperwork he asked to deposit registration charges 3,000/-Rs in Bank Of Maharashtra Account & that is not refundable. I deposited Rs. 3000, after which I recieved NOC , Agreement , Customer Green Card via email. In the documents they said to pay 25,000 Rs for Lease hold Tax. I thought this is last amount to pay so I paid that amount also. After all this 
they asked bank clearance fee 20,000. I paid this. After that they fled away with muy money. The fraud company Name is Alpha Towers Private Limited . 3. Beware of 4G Server
There is a scam going on across the country for Installation of 3G / 4G mobiles and broadband towers. They claim that they are partnered with all major Telecom players and are also recognised by Departmet of Telecom and TRAI (telecom regulatory of India), International Standart Certified Organisation, ect and what not.

These guys are so rampant that they sitting in Northern part of India (somewhere in Delhi, Haryana, Noida, Gurgaon,ect) they give advertisements in all leading news papers spanning across India. I am from Bangalore, and saw an add in Times of India. The offer was very lucarative interms of the advance and the kind of rent they pay for installing such towers. They are almost 2 to 3 times than normal rates.

Firstly, when you call them they will ask your email id and say that they would share all the details in a mail. When you look at the mail, they will claim sun, moon and stars and say that they all posible things showcasing their credibility including posing of branches across the globe.

They ask for registration fee (refundable) of Rs 6900 /- to an individuals account claiming to be account manager of the company, along with the scanned copy of all the property documents to be verified from so called legal department. They say "The site Survey is very confidential matter as per rule Section 13, Telecom Ministry and survey shall be done in 2 working days. If Property is not suitable in satellite survey we will refund back the applicant fee in next 24 hours without any deduction". God knows if something exists, atleast i couldnt find any in google.

Here is the rate card they provide. Very very lucarative, so that someone would jump straight away into this trap

• 660,000 yearly / 55,000 monthly
• 540,000 yearly / 45,000 monthly
• 360,000 yearly / 30,000 monthly

Again, they go on to explain their company profile, technology, projects they have done, market potencial, analysis of how you would be benifitted year-on-year,ect

Lastly, they show up their true colours..
If applicant property has been found suitable for Mobile Tower fixation, Applicant may get monthly rent of Rs. 55,000/- + Advance of 30,00,000, after depositing the amount of Rs. 35,000/- for Government Tax (1987 Act). The Tax amount is for the economic development and is mandatory for every property owner. This is absolutely rubbish.

They claim that they cater to fortune 100 companies, but looking at their english language in email and presentations, they are like 3rd class and very unprofessional.

For verification of the company I sent a email to the email ID of company which came back undelivered. This company is fake.

4. Arrest of mobile Tower Cheaters


Five persons were arrested in East Delhi for allegedly duping several people across the country on the pretext of installing mobile towers in their land, police said. The arrested have been identified as Islam Ahmad (22), Deepak Kumar Malhotra (25), Suraj (24), Mukesh Kumar (22) and Tilakraj (28).

They were arrested after the police received inputs that some people were running an illegal business involving installation of mobile towers from Mayur Vihar Phase-I. The gang would allegedly post advertisements in leading newspapers across Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra — offering to install mobile towers in their land in return for money.

"To convince the people, they would spout names of companies such as Virgin, Idea and Aircel Mobile. In the course of time, they would contact interested parties and tell them to deposit the registration amount in an account number acquired through forgery," O P Mishra, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), said.

"After the land owner had deposited the money, between Rs 4,000 and Rs 5,000, they would dispatch a set of fake agreement letters. Stating that the customer would receive Rs 65,000 to Rs 75,000 as rent per month once the deal was done, they would make the victim deposit as much as Rs 40 lakh as advance," he added.

The gang had created more than 100 accounts through forged IDs in financial institutions such as ICICI, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India and State Bank of Patiala.

"They also employed telecallers and gave them Rs 5,000 per month as salary. However, none of them would be retained for more than two months due to fear of being exposed," Mishra said.

As many as 180 mobile phones, 1,000 fake stamp papers and hundreds of agreement letters of different mobile companies were recovered from them


5. Arrest of Tower Fraudsters 
 NEW DELHI: A former executive of a private sector bank has been arrested along with his associate for allegedly duping at least 25 people of Rs 55 lakh on the pretext of helping them set up mobile towers of a leading company. The victims were promised a high monthly rent, police said.

The accused have been identified as Sujit Giri (31) and Krishan Kumar (34). The police have recovered laptops, LCD TVs, debit cards, election identity cards along with the fake visiting cards of the mobile company. Many of the victims are residents of south Delhi. Ratnesh Kumar, a Service Selection Board employee, filed a complaint in early November saying two persons had met him posing as assistant managers (tower & field) of a leading mobile company and wanted to inspect his property.

"Call analysis revealed that the accused were staying somewhere in Kalkaji and Palam. Then accused Sujit Giri was arrested from Palam and Krishan Kumar from Kalkaji," said Chhaya Sharma, DCP (south).

Cops said the accused told the victim, a resident of south Delhi, that their company was expanding its network in Bihar and Himachal Pradesh by installing mobile phone towers and they are looking for prospective clients having their own land. If the land is found fit, they would enter into an agreement and initiate construction of the towers.

The company, the accused reportedly said, would give the clients Rs 5 lakh in advance and Rs 20,000 as monthly rent. They took the complainant's Bihar address and left. The complainant took 15 days' leave and went to his village. On November 9, the duo collected two cheques of Rs 1,000 each as processing fee. Later, they collected copies of the agreement, election card, photographs and Rs 50,000 as commission. But the work never started and when the victim tried to contact them, he found their phone switched off.

6. Fraud by Hind Infratel
One day I saw an ad in the local news paper about mobile tower installation. They were offering a 55 lac rupees in advance and 85000/- Monthly rent for mobile tower installation on our roof or plot. I contacted them through the customer care no. Given on the website www.Hindinfratel.Com and she told me to deposit an amount of 3599/- In the name of rajat saini, rohtak. She told me that this would be the registration fee. I deposited the said amount in the account through my online bank account. After a few days I got a letter from the company stating that my place was selected to install aircel mobile tower. And I will have to pay a 25000/- As the tax. They also send me a few letters from the govt. Of india ministry of telecommunication. It was a no objection certificate singed by the minister. I was so impressed by these documents. But I decided to contact with my legal adviser. I DID it on the pathlegal.Com and thankfully I got the correct guidelines that it was a fraud. And the tower company actually does not pay a single rupee in advance for the tower installation. But they do give a huge rent. 

One day she called me again asking me to deposit 25000/- In an account and told her that I will do this only if my legal adviser confirms it. She said Ok and she never called me after that. So I lost a 3599/- which never came back. So be careful of such fake advertisements of the mobile tower installation.

Complaint - Cheat Khan Gold care (www.khangoldcare.com) is the company against which I would like to register complaint.This company is vendor and deals in Mobile Tower installation hoover they makes fool to innocent people who wants to earn some money from installation of Mobile Tower. This is Bangalore based company and they having their own web site also. Number provided by them are now not in use.   When we checked advertisement in Local News paper (Sakal) we come to know the business of mobile tower. First we have sent land details documents and ID proof to company. Then we have paid Rs. 3700/- via demand draft 3 months ago. However we have received another letter asking for Rs. 2500/- more. But we have not paid anything after that. And from last 1 months company disconnected their contacts and also not replying to mail. So request you to please take necessary action against Khan Gold Care and revert. INSTALLATION OF MOBILE TOWER I Mangesh from Ahmednagar have applied for mobile tower installation to khan gold care banglore as per advertisement from sakal news paper along with land details after that they send me a letter for demanding rs. 3700.00 and rs. 2500.00 for registration and survey charges accordingly i sent two demand drafts after that they inform me that the survey team will contact you. but after that the concern person phoned me and told me that it will delay upto 2/06/2010 but after that their all mobiles are switched off and no body contact me. Also they assured that they will make arrangement for 15 years agreement with a minimum rent of rs.25000.00 per month and three years rent in advance. But till toady all mobiles are switched off and i think that they cheated us so do not believe on this type of advertisement This company is FRAUD so no any one contact this company be alert

regarding survey visit I am from cuttack, I had received approved letter, which was assigned to me by Khan Gold Care. I had sent one DD for Rs.3700=00, & 2500, along with the declaration on the stamp paper that was posted to me by Khan Gold Care. As per telephonic talk, I am awaiting for Survey tobe made by Khan Gold Care, Bangalore, Till today No boday has approached for the same nor contacted me on my Mobile . I had sent one DD for Rs.3700=00, As per telephonic talk, I am awaiting for Survey to be made by Khan Gold Care, Bangalore, Till today No boday has approached for the same nor contacted me on my Mobile . regarding survey visit I am from baramati pune , ... same happened with me also, I had received approved latter, which was assigned to me by Khan Gold Care. I had sent in 2 DD's for rupees 3700 & 2500, along with the declaration on the stamp paper that was posted to me by Khan Gold Care. Later I received confirmation for the date of survey as 3rd June 2010, and was told that I will receive a phone call from the survey team between 1st June any time & you need to stay with our survey team people on that day for your agreement , however I have not received any phone call yet from the survey team, hence I tried to call on all the phone numbers mentioned in the letters that I had received from Khan Gold Care, however now all the numbers are switched off and I am unable to contact Khan Gold Care. Kindly contact & let me know will the survey team approch me & when, waiting for ur response.
